Individual Training Account (ITA) Scholarships

Individual Training Account (ITA) Scholarships provide funding to cover tuition, books, and supplies for individual classroom training of a wide range of professional job skills. The ITA scholarships provide job training with experts in prestigious and highly demanded professions such as health care, solar engineering, laboratory techs, and many more, all in a comfortable learning environment. Trainees who successfully complete the program receive valuable certificates of completion and job placement assistance.

Up to $5,000 in scholarship money!

• Schools MUST be on the CalJOBS Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL)
• School MUST accept our contract
• Training must be 12 months or less
• Lead to In-Demand Occupation
• Maintain a satisfactory progress
• Maintain follow up during course and after with case manager to track progress
• FASFA confirmation is requireds

Individual Training Account (ITA) Scholarships allows eligible Unemployment Insurance (UI) customers to further their education, upgrade their skills, and/or learn a new trade to be more competitive in today’s labor market while receiving UI benefits.

Training Benefits (CTB)

• eligible Unemployment Insurance (UI) customers to further their education, upgrade their skills, and/or learn a new trade to be more competitive in today’s labor market while receiving UI benefits.
• Must notify EDD Before 16th week of benefit payment.
• If approved for CTB, you will be exempt from the requirements to be available for work, actively seek work, and accept work, while you complete your training. You may also be eligible for additional weeks of benefits while completing training or school.
