The San Benito County Workforce Investment Board is currently comprised of 5
Standing Committees:
Executive Committee:
The Executive Committee is empowered to act for the WIB in all matters
except setting policy. This includes acting upon committee recommendations. The
Executive Committee meets throughout the alternative months
Programs/Planning Committee
The Programs/Planning Committee is responsible for review and advice for all
matters relating to program planning including: Preparation of draft and final
plans, including budgets; preparation and issuance of requests for proposals;
evaluations of proposals; incorporation of selected proposals into a services
plan; provides recommendations on award of contracts to service providers;
identifies eligible intensive services and training providers; and provides
recommendations on local policy on individuals training accounts.
The Programs/Planning Committee holds hearings/meetings when necessary at
noon at the Department of Community Services & Workforce Development.
One Stop Administrative Management Team:
This committee is comprised of the various One Stop Partner Agencies. This
committee is designed to provide oversight of the One-Stop Career Center program
activities.
Youth Council:
The Youth Council makes recommendations on youth employment training policy
to the WIB. This committee also develops a portion of the local plan pertaining
to youth, makes recommendations of eligible youth providers, conducts oversight
and coordination for youth activities and ensures that youth programs are linked
through One Stop. This committee meets quarterly, (January, April, July,
October) on the third Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m.
- WIB -- January, April, July, October during the second Tuesday of these
months at 3:00 p.m. All meetings are held at the Department of Community Services & Workforce Development

- The Programs/Planning Committee -- holding hearings/meetings when necessary at noon at the Department of Community
Services & Workforce Development.
- Executive -- August, September, November, December, February, March, May,
and June during the second Tuesday of these months at 3:00 p.m.
- One Stop Administrative Management Team -- January, April, July, October
during the second Tuesday of these months at 1:30 p.m. Additionally, on-site
partners meet monthly on the first Wednesday of the month.
- Youth - YEP Council meets bi-monthly (Odd Months) January, March, May, July, September, November
the third Tuesday of these months at 4:00 p.m. The YEP Council meets at the San Benito High School,
